Privacy Policy

Flip · Last updated: October 7, 2026

Flip is made by Karol Jaworski ("we"). This policy explains what leaves your device when you use Flip, who receives it and why. Questions: karoljaworsky@gmail.com.

Data on Your Device

What you enter in Flip is stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for the app, it is also synced to your private iCloud account, which Apple operates and we cannot access.

AI Features

Some features in Flip use artificial intelligence. When you use one, your request - the text you type and the Flip information needed to answer it, such as your entries and statistics - is sent to xAI (Grok) to generate the answer. This happens only when you use an AI feature.

Requests pass through our server, hosted on Cloudflare, which forwards them without storing their content. We don't add your Apple ID or email address to these requests, and we don't keep copies of them. The provider processes each request under its own privacy policy: xAI (Grok). Please don't enter information you wouldn't want to share with the AI provider.

We process this to provide the feature you asked for (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).

Sharing with a Partner

If you invite someone to share with you, the data you share in Flip is stored in your iCloud and becomes visible to, and editable by, the people you invited, through Apple's iCloud sharing. If you join someone else's shared data, it is stored in their iCloud. We never receive it. The owner can stop sharing, and anyone invited can leave, at any time; each person keeps a copy of what was shared up to then.

Sign in with Apple

If you sign in with Apple, Apple gives the app an anonymous identifier and, only if you choose to share them, your name and email address. They stay on your device (and in your iCloud if sync is on); we don't run an account server.

Purchases and Refund Requests

Purchases in Flip are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to keep track of your subscription status; RevenueCat receives the purchase records Apple provides and an app user ID, never your name or the content you store in the app. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

If you ask Apple for a refund of a purchase made in Flip, Apple may ask us for information about that purchase. By making a purchase, you consent to us (through RevenueCat) sharing the following with Apple for that request: how long you have had the app, how much of the purchased period has been used, whether the purchase was delivered, and the total amount you have spent and been refunded in Flip. We may also tell Apple whether we think the refund should be granted. Apple makes the final decision. We never share the content you store in the app.

No Analytics, Ads or Tracking

Flip contains no analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Children

Flip is not directed at children under 13.

Your Rights

You can delete the data on your device by deleting the app and data synced to iCloud from iOS Settings → your name → iCloud. If you are in the EU, UK or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, delete and move your data, to object to its processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email karoljaworsky@gmail.com.

Changes

We update this page whenever what Flip sends changes; the date at the top shows the current version.
