Slate stores the information you choose to add to the app, including classes, assignments, grade categories, grades, class schedules, reminders, study sessions, and profile preferences.
Your Slate data is stored on your device using Apple's local storage frameworks. If iCloud sync is enabled on your device in a future Slate release, related records may also sync to your private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit service.
Subscriptions and purchase status are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Slate also uses RevenueCat in observer mode to help confirm subscription status and purchase events. Slate does not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.
If you use Slate's AI Study Advisor, the question or study context you choose to send is securely forwarded through our server-side proxy to xAI's Grok service so a response can be generated. Those requests are used only to provide the feature you requested.
Slate does not track you across apps or websites, does not sell your personal data, and does not use advertising identifiers for profiling.
You can delete your in-app data from Slate's settings. Removing the app also removes local data from the device. If iCloud sync is enabled in the future, related records may remain in your private iCloud account until deleted there.
