1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and KidSpend ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the KidSpend mobile application (the "App") and related services.

2. Description of Service

KidSpend is a mobile application designed to help parents track and manage expenses related to their children. The App provides features including:

• Expense tracking and categorization
• Child profile management
• Financial analytics and insights
• Receipt photo storage
• Data export capabilities (Premium)
• AI-powered spending insights (Premium)
• Cloud synchronization (Premium)

3. Eligibility

To use KidSpend, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a parent, guardian, or authorized caregiver
• Have the legal authority to manage finances for the children you add to the app
• Reside in a country where the App is available
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. User Accounts and Registration

4.1 Account Creation

You may use KidSpend without creating an account, but certain features require signing in with Apple ID.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your Apple ID credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Uses

You may use KidSpend to:

• Track legitimate expenses for your children
• Store and organize financial information
• Generate reports for personal use
• Export data for tax or budgeting purposes

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use KidSpend to:

• Track expenses for children without proper legal authority
• Store fraudulent or illegal financial information
• Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the App
• Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with the App's operation or security

6. Subscriptions and Payments

6.1 Premium Subscription

KidSpend offers optional Premium subscriptions with enhanced features:

• Weekly: $1.99 per week
• Monthly: $3.99 per month
• Yearly: $14.99 per year

6.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple's terms and conditions apply to all transactions.

6.3 Free Trial

New Premium subscribers may receive a free trial period. You may cancel anytime during the trial without charge.

6.4 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

6.5 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Data and Privacy

7.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all financial and personal data you enter into KidSpend. We do not claim any rights to your expense information.

7.2 Local Storage

KidSpend stores your data locally on your device. We cannot access your expense information.

7.3 Privacy Policy

Our use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

KidSpend and all related intellectual property rights are owned by us. This includes:

• App design and user interface
• Software code and algorithms
• Trademarks and logos
• Documentation and content

8.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use KidSpend for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 Financial Advice

KidSpend is not intended to provide financial, legal, or tax advice. Consult qualified professionals for such guidance.

9.2 Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• All features will work perfectly on all devices
• AI insights will be completely accurate

9.3 Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for any third-party services, including Apple's App Store or iCloud.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
• OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR PREMIUM FEATURES IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS
• WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR DATA LOSS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of KidSpend
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any data you input into the App

12. Termination

12.1 Termination by You

You may stop using KidSpend at any time by deleting the App from your device.

12.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice.

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your license to use KidSpend ends
• Premium features become unavailable
• Local data remains on your device until you delete it

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through:

• In-app notifications
• Email (if you've provided one)
• Updates to this document

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal action, please contact us to attempt to resolve the issue informally.

15.2 Arbitration

By using KidSpend, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
