This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Karol Jaworski ("Developer") for the use of the Butter mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA.
The App is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA"), which is incorporated into this agreement by reference. You may review the Standard EULA at the link below:

In the event of any conflict between the terms of Apple's Standard EULA and the additional terms below, Apple's Standard EULA shall govern, except where the additional terms provide further limitations or disclaimers specific to the App.
In addition to Apple's Standard EULA, the following terms apply specifically to Butter, a weekly dinner planner that plans a set of dinners for your household, makes one shopping list for the week, and guides you through cooking with timers that run in parallel.
Butter uses artificial intelligence (Grok by xAI) to plan each week's dinners and breakfasts and write their recipes from your household's settings. Your household is described to the AI by counts and children's ages, never by name. You acknowledge and agree that:
The App is free to download, and each household's first week is free. Planning further weeks and swapping nights requires Butter+, an optional auto-renewing subscription. One subscription covers everyone in the household. Butter+ is offered as:
These are US prices, which apply from September 30, 2026. Prices vary by country, and the App Store shows your local price before purchase. If you subscribed before September 30, 2026, you keep your price while your subscription continues. Subscriptions are billed through Apple and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage subscriptions in your device's Settings under your Apple ID. Full subscription details are available in our Subscription Terms.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Butter has no accounts and no sign-in. Your settings, planned week, and shopping list are stored on your device. Each installation has a random ID and is verified with Apple's App Attest service; our server keeps that verification record and usage counts so the free week stays fair. If you share a household, the shared week, shopping list, and settings are also stored on our server so every phone in the household stays in sync. We do not sell your personal data.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available." The Developer disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that the App will meet your requirements, be error-free, or be available without interruption.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or health impacts, arising from or related to your use of the App or any AI-generated content.
This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, to the extent not superseded by Apple's Standard EULA.
