End User License Agreement

Effective Date: February 7, 2026

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Karol Jaworski ("Developer") for the use of the Butter mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA.

1. Apple Standard EULA

The App is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA"), which is incorporated into this agreement by reference. You may review the Standard EULA at the link below:

In the event of any conflict between the terms of Apple's Standard EULA and the additional terms below, Apple's Standard EULA shall govern, except where the additional terms provide further limitations or disclaimers specific to the App.

Butter uses artificial intelligence (Grok by xAI) to generate recipes and cooking suggestions. You acknowledge and agree that:

The App offers optional premium features through a Butter+ subscription:

Subscriptions are billed through Apple and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage subscriptions in your device's Settings under your Apple ID. Full subscription details are available in our Subscription Terms.

5. Data & Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The App stores recipe and preference data locally on your device using SwiftData. Minimal data is stored server-side only if you create an account. We do not sell your personal data.

6. No Warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available." The Developer disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that the App will meet your requirements, be error-free, or be available without interruption.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or health impacts, arising from or related to your use of the App or any AI-generated content.

8. Governing Law

This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, to the extent not superseded by Apple's Standard EULA.
