How do I create a family group?

Answer: To create a family group:

  1. Open HomeHero and go to the Profile tab
  2. Tap "Family Sharing" or "Add Family Member"
  3. Enter the family member's name and choose an avatar
  4. Tap "Create" to add them to your family group

Note: The free version supports up to 4 family members. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited family members.

How do I upgrade to Premium?

Answer: To upgrade to HomeHero Premium:

  1. Tap the Profile tab at the bottom
  2. Tap "Upgrade to Premium" or the crown icon
  3. Choose your preferred subscription plan (Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime)
  4. Complete the purchase through the App Store

All subscriptions include a 3-day free trial for new subscribers!

How do I cancel my subscription?

Answer: Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Select HomeHero
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

You'll retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I get a refund?

Answer: Refunds are handled by Apple:

  1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find your HomeHero purchase
  4. Click "Report a Problem"
  5. Select your reason and submit

Refunds are granted at Apple's discretion, typically within 48 hours.

My data isn't syncing across devices. What should I do?

Answer: If your data isn't syncing:

  • Make sure you're signed in with the same account on all devices
  • Check that you have an active internet connection
  • Verify that Cloud Sync is enabled in Settings
  • Try force-closing the app and reopening it
  • If using offline mode, data won't sync until you enable cloud sync

If the problem persists, please contact support with your device and account details.

Can I use HomeHero without an internet connection?

Answer: Yes! HomeHero has a full offline mode. You can:

  • Create and complete tasks offline
  • Track XP and streaks locally
  • Manage family members (data stored on device only)

When you reconnect to the internet, your data will sync automatically if Cloud Sync is enabled.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Answer: To restore your subscription:

  1. Install HomeHero on your new device
  2. Sign in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase
  3. Go to Profile → Premium
  4. Tap "Restore Purchases"

Your subscription will be restored automatically at no charge.

How do family challenges and duels work?

Answer: Family challenges and duels are fun competitions:

  • Challenges: Family-wide goals where everyone works together
  • Duels: One-on-one competitions between family members
  • Create them from the Home screen or Duels tab
  • Set a goal, duration, and reward
  • Track progress in real-time

Premium subscribers can create unlimited challenges and duels!

Can I share my Premium subscription with family?

Answer: Yes! HomeHero supports Apple Family Sharing:

  • Set up Family Sharing in your Apple ID settings
  • Add up to 5 family members (6 total including you)
  • All family members get Premium access with one subscription
  • Each person uses their own Apple ID and HomeHero account

How do I delete my account?

Answer: To delete your account and data:

  1. Email us at karoljaworsky@gmail.com
  2. Include "Delete Account" in the subject line
  3. Provide your account email or Apple ID
  4. We'll process your request within 7 business days

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All data will be deleted.

Is my child's data safe?

Answer: Yes. We are COPPA compliant and take children's privacy seriously:

  • Parents control all family member data
  • We collect minimal information from child profiles
  • No marketing or advertising to children
  • Data is encrypted and securely stored
  • You can delete any child's data at any time

How do I sign in with Google or Apple?

Answer: To use social sign-in:

  1. Open HomeHero
  2. On the login screen, tap "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple"
  3. Follow the prompts to authorize HomeHero
  4. Your account will be created or linked automatically

This provides a secure, password-free way to access your account.

How do streaks work?

Answer: Streaks track consecutive days of task completion:

  • Complete at least one task each day to maintain your streak
  • Streaks reset if you miss a day
  • Earn special badges for milestone streaks (7, 30, 100 days, etc.)
  • View your streak in the Profile tab
  • Family members have individual streaks

Common Issues and Solutions

App Crashes or Freezes

Try these steps:

  1. Force close the app and reopen it
  2. Restart your device
  3. Make sure you're running the latest version of HomeHero
  4. Update your iOS to the latest version
  5. Clear app cache (Settings → General → iPhone Storage → HomeHero)
  6. If problem persists, contact support with crash details

Tasks Not Saving

If tasks aren't saving:

  1. Check your internet connection (for cloud sync)
  2. Verify you have sufficient storage on your device
  3. Make sure the app has necessary permissions
  4. Try creating a task again
  5. Contact support if the issue continues

Login Problems

If you can't log in:

  1. Verify you're using the correct email/password
  2. Try resetting your password
  3. Check if you originally signed up with Google or Apple Sign-In
  4. Make sure you have an active internet connection
  5. Contact support if you're locked out

Premium Features Not Working

If Premium features aren't available:

  1. Verify your subscription is active in App Store settings
  2. Try tapping "Restore Purchases" in the app
  3. Sign out and sign back in
  4. Make sure you're using the same Apple ID that purchased the subscription
  5. Contact support with your receipt or order number
